where do broken believers go,
to rest their shattered souls.
where failures find their dreams intact
the rejected find real peace.
who will heal their cynical fears
who will dry their tears
who will listen without a quote
from book, chapter and verse
who will embrace and not recoil
safe arms to gently hold
tell me please, is their a place
a broken believers home
who will listen to fallen words
credibilty shattered and ignored
discounted by scars self imposed
rejected and obselete
what of the gifts freely bestowed
by grace with eternity's gaze
must they lie beside the door
where they made their last retreat.
an empty stage, dark and cold
a lifeless song and empty page
they crowd is hushed, but not in awe
integrity cruelly marred.
where do broken believers go
to rest exhausted lives.
tell me if there is a place
to ease my troubled mind.
to rest their shattered souls.
where failures find their dreams intact
the rejected find real peace.
who will heal their cynical fears
who will dry their tears
who will listen without a quote

we call it Anamrae
;-)
Where is Anamrae?
Yes, where is Anamrae? It must be a wonderful place. But I think this place is supposed to be in each of our arms. Aren't we supposed to be this for each other? I know impossible but a dream nonetheless.
Geoff, Anamrae is a word I made up from the celtic words meaning soul and space. It is the name of our property on an island in the Gippsland Lakes where we're attempting to create a retreat for broken believers and others.
So Candy, it is a place where we hope to offer the supportive arms that people need at various times, so it is also a verb not a noun :)
