the world still turns
remorseless.
the future grinds away
at the griefs of today.
wherever the pain and ills,
the scourge of mankind
time moves on
without a care,
the present is ignored
as tomorrows comes
slyly, silently,
without heart
the sunrise
dawns over the
chaos and clutter
of suffering humanity.

billy - This brings to mind Psalm 143:8 which says: "Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul." There was a time in my life that I got up every morning to pray and this was all that would come out. It was enough.

Aah, but God still loves us, even though our feeble lives grind onward.

you know what billy...some days are just like this..working with my students who go home to a crumbling and painful place everyday I see hope...its there...look really hard...its there..and when I feel their arms around me telling me they love me and they miss me I learn from them...beauty is sometimes in the moment..peace my brother..you are precious..you are precious

I found myself focusing on the "s" words in this piece. Then I was drawn to the prior post, Penniless. Nice bridge though perhaps unintentional and shows the reader what is on your mind.
